The No On W campaign donated $962 to the Pacifica Resource Center. This amount will be doubled to $1924 because all donations to the Resource Center will be matched, up to a total of $20,000. Mailed donations will be matched if they are postmarked by December 31.
Julie Starobin, Treasurer of Committee to Oppose Rezoning the Pacifica Quarry, and the No On W Moose present a check to Anita Rees, Executive Director of the Pacifica Resource Center.
The No On W campaign said, “The Committee to Oppose Rezoning the Pacifica Quarry thanks the people of Pacifica for voting overwhelmingly to reject the out-of-state developer’s extremely well-funded campaign. By contrast, the No on W campaign was an all-volunteer effort. A fund-raising party at Shelldance Orchid Gardens and hundreds of individual contributions paid for a mailer, signs, flyers, and web-based materials including a video. We donated our remaining funds of $962.37 to the Pacifica Resource Center. We are very proud to be part of protecting our Pacifica community.”
